Wireline Retrievable Coring Systems

 

The largest cost on any coring program will be rig time. Wireline coring reduces or eliminates the number of trips required and thereby reduces the overall cost of your coring program when long intervals of core or numerous zones are required.

 

 

The Wireline Retrievable Coring system is the solution in areas where frequent jamming is a concern, on core intervals of 35M or more in soft lithologies that can't be recovered with a long barrel, when coring multiple target formations or when the goal is to bring the sampe to the surface quickly to preserve a natural state or resource saturation.

 

All configurations of Foothills Resource Services' wireline retrievable coring systems are compatible with our Drill Ahead Feature. This gives you the ability to clean the hole as required on long intervals, drill between target formations, drill out the overhole for logging or TD the well, all without the time normally required to trip pipe while eliminating the safety hazards associated with laying down a string of drill pipe. 

 

 

The  heart of the Foothills' wireline system is a self contained building containing a premium wireline fitted with accurate digital depth gauge and weight indicator as well as a workshop and temperature regulated core handling facility all in a 24' x 7' footprint operated and maintained by certified Foothills Resource Services personnel.
