Triple Tube Coring Systems

Triple tube coring is the term used when a sleeve is placed inside the inner barrel. While it reduces core diameter slightly, the XLI low invasion system guarntees the least amount of fluid invasion possible into a core sample leaving almost the full diameter in an insitu condition and providing a full useable sample.

Triple tube coring assemblies are by far the most used and requested systems from the Foothills Resource Services suite of tools and are more economical where long core intervals are present when compared to disospable inner tubes.

Available in both wireline retrievable and conventional configurations triple tube coring is the answer where core containerization is required, generally in soft and friable formations, for long term storage of core before analysis, areas where roads are rough or transport takes extra time and when the core needs to be frozen.

The triple tubes minimize the amount of core handling required and can prevent mechanical fracturing when coupled with a laydown cradle and surface core management system.
