Directional Coring

 

The Foothills Resource Services directional coring package is a feature of our new X2500 Conventional Coring System. Incorprating full inner barrel stabilization and bit bearings allows us to cut cores in varying lengths up to 90 degrees while maintaining full recoveries and the quality core samples we have become known for.

 

 

 

Inner Barrel Stabilization

 

The FRS inner barrel stabilizer is available on all ranges of core sizes. By incorporating a bearing assembly on every joint of the inner assembly, the inner tube is held in dead center of the outer barrel while absorbing any rotation that can cause core loss or damage. 

 

Foothills has sucessfully recovered up to 27M core lengths at 90 degress in a single run using this system.
